Photo Overload

And now for the rest of the story.... (alert!  gobs of photos!)
One of our favorite places to stop is a General Store.
The boys love buying candy by the pound.  Who wouldn't?

We were barely back in the car when they were digging in.

Before we had even pulled out of the parking lot this cherub pulled out a tooth with taffy.

No worries.  It was already loose.  But they did drive us crazy crinkling candy wrappers.  Tim called it the Sugar Daddy dental plan.  We eventually had enough and tossed the candy.  We are so mean.

We eventually made it to the cabin and started exploring.

He figured out I was taking photos and started shaking the bridge.
Meanie!

"Hey Mom! I found an old fashioned bottle!  It says High Life on it.  You want it?"
"No thanks, sweetie."

Our cabin had foosball.  That was a hit.
As was the spiral staircase.

Tim and the boys played a LOT of Risk.

So great to see him relaxed.

"Mom...put the camera away!"

He is probably saying something inappropriate here to make P smile.

It kinda worked.

Oh, remember the 100 things food list?  We knocked 2 more off the list.
One here...

...to order this....

This was so good!  A cuban sandwich on toasted garlic bread.  This deserved to make the list.
We also went here...

...to order the Vinegar Pie.  It was on the list.

It was okay.  P really liked it.  But before we ate pie we had to have lunch.  This was the kind of place that brought you biscuits and coleslaw before you even ordered drinks.
We ate this...

...and afterwards felt like this...

We also did the Zip lines here.  That was a highlight for all of us.
Oh, and we went Whitewater rafting.  No photos of that because I had a white knuckled grip on the oar. Remember the last time we whitewater rafted?
Don't ask me how Tim convinced us to do it again!

Then we drove home through the Blue Ridge Parkway.
It was so nice and cool.

K played the alphabet game as we drove through.  P complained that it was boring the whole way.
When K got to the letter H he said, "for H I'm gonna say hater, cuz P is being a hater."

P replied, "for i I am gonna say, inconvenient, because that is what this trip is."

K got this shirt.  It says, Paddle Faster!  I hear banjo music.

We went through lots of these.  The first one we went through Tim panicked and said, "I can't see!  It's dark!"
He had on sunglasses.  But that doesn't compare to the moment on the trip when we passed a field  and Tim loudly says, "Boys!  Look at the bears!"
They were cows.
I think it might be time for an eye check up.

I am sure you figured out this is what I looked like the whole trip.
It was a great time.
And the trip ended on such a high note as we witnessed this on the way home...

You know how I adore accessorized dogs, right?
And if you made it to the bottom of this post, ummmm....
hi Mom!
