Hi there. I am back and sharing a {boring} re-cap.
To move things along quickly, I thought collages would be prudent.
Before we headed down to the Sunshine State to visit our kin we had a little Frat Pack celebration at home. The boys wanted to go to a Brazilian steak house.
You know the type, where copious amounts of meat are brought around on spits to your table.
I know, gross, right?
I got the salad bar, thankyouverymuch.
Anyhoo, at least the boys dressed up and looked fantastic.
Even though I got a bit misty-eyed at the photo.
There is no denying...they are little men for sure.
{p.s. boo for my pre-lit tree}
Off to sweatyville Florida we headed. We entertained ourselves with tic tac teeth and stops at Cracker Barrel. I took a photo of that darling mug but did not purchase. Once it was posted to Instagram and a few people said they loved it, I regretted not making the purchase.
{Does that kind of thing happen to you?}
Ah, but there was to be a return trip heading back to North Carolina.
That mug is now safely tucked in my cabinet.
We hung out at my parents home.
(that first photo is from the Church where my oldest received his First Communion)
The cousins played ipad monopoly and munched gummy worms.
This inspired "real" monopoly.
I took a pass. I am not a game person.
My husband helped sort out some computer problems.
He even called Apple and pretended to be my Dad.
We were slap happy from the heat at this point and this provided us with gut wrenching laughter.
Looking back, was it really that funny?
Ah, Florida. Even if it was quite warm, it sure is pretty, right?
{Baby Jesus from Mom's Nativity}
Christmas Eve Mass at the Church where Tim and I tied the knot.
But we can go a bit farther back with history at this Church...
Tim {a cradle Catholic} got first reconciliation, first communion and was confirmed here!
Me too....although for me, I was 30 years old when all that happened.
Christmas Day. My Dad, my boys and their cousins,
my cute sister and her husband and again, the Frat Pack times two.
Christmas night {top half}.
Toot Toot and a little Christmas miracle on her lap.
{that is Buddy, my brother-in-law's dog who has outlived his vet's prediction}
Tim and I attempting to get a self portrait.

Home Sweet Home.
We have been enjoying cooler weather + fire pit s'mores.
And, that is all she wrote.
P.S. after going back and re-reading this post,
epic fail on the "quick" re-cap.
My apologies.

You are never boring to me.
1. There is a mug at CB waiting on me that I regret not purchasing.
2. I like meat on a stick. I blame Stuart and his cattle raising ways.
3. I adore Toot Toot and her son.
4. I got the pajama jeans. One word...Fantastic. seriously comfy. Hard to tell they are not jeans til you touch them.
5. remembering this is not my blog. Apologies.
Love all the pics...especially (your dad?) licking the beaters....and the s'mores...and the cousins...looks like a cozy Christmas. Where is the Jack@$$ movie though?
Janie Fox's comment cracked me up.
Well, I liked your recap. I think it's perfect.
Not sure if I commented on Instagram, but the pic of Tim driving? HOT. Of course its impact is greater NOT paired next to the tic tac teeth, but it's still good.
I can rest easy, now, knowing that you brought that mug home with you. I love it :D It sounds like a lovely Christmas was had with the Pack. Happy New Year!!
Thank goodness you got the mug..... your holiday was saved!
P.S. Steve was baptized then received first reconciliation, first holy communion and confirmed in the same church I had my first sacraments and confirmed (I was baptized in FL) and now Elizabeth has been baptized and received first reconciliation and first communion.... and in May will be confirmed.... ALL. IN. THE. SAME. CHURCH. Apparently, we don't like change. AT. ALL.
1. I was going to ask about the tree; wasn't sure if the lights were really out or if it was the lighting! (Thanks for clearing that up!)
2. I can't even think about a Brazilian Restaurant without thinking about the scene in Bridesmaids! We have one in the big city next to us and it's suppose to be very good but I think (after seeing Bridesmaids) I'd just have a salad, too. (smart move!)
3. TicTac Teeth: Hilarious! Guess you do what you gotta do!
4. Christmas picture of all of the boys at the island: gosh, they look soooo thrilled!
5. (Oops! skipped the church pictures!) The church pictures are really pretty. I hope to get pictures of our church all decked out on the blog soon.
6. It just doesn't seem like Christmas if the weather is too warm.
Glad you had a great trip! (And now my comment is longer than your post!)
Merry Christmas...and Happy New Year!
Looks like you had a great holiday. I (heart) instagram!
That mug is brilliant.
That meat on sticks sounds delightful
I would also have opted for the salad bar only. I love the mug, and am glad you went back and got it. I would have too. The pictures of your sister's boys and your boys all together....they look so much alike. I adore all of the church photos. Loved the re-cap. Not one boring thing about it! Every picture was great.
ps. Hi Toot Toot.
The collages worked well...lovely pictures!
A belated merry Christmas to the Frat Pack! Glad you had a great trip and are back home, safe & s'more!
what a busy christmas you had - loved seeing it all, especially the florida part ... ah, home!! is your family on the west coast? mine is in SE Florida ... very overcrowded these days :(
